You will recall that Upper Valley Presbytery rolled out its Policy
on Discrimination, Harassment and Violence in our Faith Community in
2014 and that each pastoral charge was asked to adopt the policy or
revise their existing policy to acknowledge the mandate of the UVP HEART
team. Each congregation was asked to display a poster with information
on how to contact HEART and the policy itself. On
July 1, 2017 the United Church of Canada announced its new Workplace
Violence & Harassment Policy which supersedes our policy in that
complaints are to go directly to the Conference Secretary rather than to
a local HEART group. Please replace the poster and policy document on
display (or in storage) at your church with the documents attached to
